Welcome to East High. Congrats, you made it to the first year of high school. Are you excited, nervous or worried about this year? Well don’t be, because I’m here to help you survive freshman year. Here are ten tips to help you through this year. Let’s begin shall we?

#1 Don’t worry so much about making so many friends. People will come and go in high school.

#2 Don’t get caught up in drama. It will just make you stress more.

#3 Join a club or sport. It will help you make new friends and great memories.

#4 You may be shy, but don’t be afraid to ask for help. It’s better to know than not know and get the answer wrong.

#5 Don’t change to impress others. Dress how YOU want to dress. Be yourself and embrace it.

#6 Sit with someone who is alone. You never know, maybe that person will become your best friend and don’t be afraid to be the first one to start the conversation.

#7 Get organized. Invest in a planner and write down important stuff that is going on in your classes.

#8 Strive for good grades. If you don’t do that well on a test, it’s okay.

#9 Get to class on time.

#10 Make the most of it, because high school goes fast. Go to the football games, Homecoming and have a blast with your friends. Take pictures to make the memories last forever. Don’t stress, you will be okay. Good luck this year.
