A mock car crash assembly was held for juniors and seniors during seventh and eighth hour Sept. 27 to illustrate the possible consequences of distracted driving. Here are some pictures from the event:

Student actors were made up with bloodied face makeup to show how some may look in a severe crash.

The coroner takes a “victim” actor to the morgue.

An ambulance and fire truck line up along the bus lane during assembly.

Firemen respond to the “scene” of the crash.

A helicopter arrives to help the victims at collision scene.

A paramedic covers a deceased “victim” with a blanket.

A car door falls off its hinges after the car was totaled.
