The type of Halloween movie I do not think I will ever enjoy are the ones relating to ghosts and haunting. A few examples of these movies are The Ring, Poltergeist, The Conjuring, and Paranormal Activity. These are movies I never got behind. They were never enjoyable for me and I don’t think they will ever be. I can definitely handle watching them right now but I do not think I am going to exert the energy into watching even one this year. They are not my style at all and are not enjoyable. I know a big reason a lot of people love watching supernatural movies is the kind of adrenaline rush that comes along with them, but I do not see that as a great reason. In my opinion, they are way scarier than any slasher movie. I would rather watch the worst rated slasher movie than one of the best rated haunting movies. I hate how most of them are just jump scares. Sure, there are some spooky elements to it but the main fear factor are the jump scares, which I just don’t find fun. They are not ground-breaking at all and are generally basic. Personally, I do not see myself watching any this Halloween, but if you want to, go for it.
